There are a million different books out there on writing craft, and for me, it's been overwhelming to try and read all of them or even find new and meaningful information from the ones I do read.
I would love to narrow them down and come up with a semi-definitive list of books that aspiring writers should read. If you have favorites, please let me know! I'd love to hear what you're reading and why you think it's one of the best resources. Hopefully one day I'll have read enough of them to come up with a list of essentials.
For now, here are a few that have helped me:
- King, Stephen: On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft
- Kleon, Austin: Steal Like an Artist
- N -
- Nelson, Jill Elizabeth: Rivet Your Readers with Deep Point of View
- Weiland, K.M.: Outlining Your Novel: Map Your Way to Success
